For a serious reference, Dr. Mindy Pelz is a decent beacon of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom related to fasting.  This video and this video are decent places to start learning about different types of fasting and their respective effects on the body.

Hey yo Joe! Wanted to finally comment on this post here. I have learned the benefits of fasting over my life, now at least 5 days a week I do intermittent fasting, and about once a year I do the 10-day Master Cleanse detox fast. Perhaps a recorded Zoom type discussion with other Bears who fast as well would be beneficial to other people considering this. The health benefits are absolutely amazing and highly recommended. Long live the Bears!

@NoMoreMoney  I agree, and I'm currently on my fourth round of the Master Cleanse protocol, combined with Robert Scott Bell's silver-aloe protocol and a few other goodies I decided to throw into my detox mix.  Depending on potential upcoming work situations, I may tack on several days of water fasting and a day of dry fasting after I've finished this round.  The other three times I followed the Master Cleanse were for 12 days, 13 days, and 10 days respectively, and I think it's a great protocol for resetting one's body - especially if, like me, you've veered down the conventional Babylonian path of foods.  Cheers!
