Oh what's up neighbor? You're definitely crushing man I've seen the grabbler clock that's a work of art. I'd like one of those for the homestead.
3 rogans is like 10 inches. I'm 20.2 rogans tall, I think that's about 7 inches and 5 feet.
I work retail, but I am trying to make my own products to sell to get off of the corporate teet.
Yeah I'm about 20 rogans myself I always sell myself short.
I hear that though your concrete work is pretty cool man do you do a lot of woodwork too? I have an idea for a sign I want to hang on the wall. I want it to say " be in the world but not of it". That's a pretty important phrase for me to remember.
Philosophical bear I'd be down for that man. I've been wanting to put myself around more like-minded people for a while. All my friends are pretty worthless tbh. Hey Ryan you got my payment for the grabbler clock right? And I thought about it man leave the "being tall" on there if you haven't started making it already. It's your creation and it's great no need to change it.
@wifemebear , I like it, I am in Florence, an hour away. I was born and raised (for 12 years) in southern California, and moved to Las Vegas (for another 12). The difference to me is quite noticable. Way more friendly people out here.
SC is alright. Myrtle Beach is a tourist trap though but it's just packed during the summer. Other than that it's alright just keep your bikes locked up and hidden. That's pretty much everywhere in SC though.
Illegal Eagle Bear, where is you be at?
I'm down. Send me an e-mail and we'll plan a time/place.
Cool, I found your e-mail in my spam, Morning Bear. I'm still waiting to hear from you, @4mamabear.
Me and my wife are in Hudson NC, hit us up!
Just found this, I'm in Raleigh,NC .
Pleasure to meet you all
@astedt I sent you an e-mail through the website contact page. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.
Guys I'd like to reach out and make connections to fellow bears in my area. I'm in Columbia. I think getting to know like-minded people is more important now than ever. I hope y'all are all crushing. Anybody please feel free to send me an email to establish a line of communication.
Hey guys, just joined. just popping in to say what's up. I'm just south of Charlotte, NC in a town called Indian Trail
Are there bears in these mountains? I hope so. I'm researching relocating from Ohio to NC because of the clean air and water, lots of fracking in eastern Ohio. We're looking at land near Polkville and would love to meet some bears.
Yeah, I was thinking outdoors. My only worry is that many parks have closed their restrooms. We might need to pick a place close to a gas station or grocery store where people can go if they need to.
I'm all for having a kid-friendly event.
For our regional meetup, the tentative date is Saturday, August 29th. How many of you are in?
If we have enough people from out West, we can try meeting somewhere central, like Asheboro. That should be an easy drive from both Raleigh and Charlotte. We already have a decent number of people in Raleigh, so I only want to ask them to drive a ways if there will be at least several other people coming in from further out.

Sup, bears!! We're meeting tomorrow in central Raleigh around 6pm; some won't get there till 7. In terms of a central location for regional meetup, it seems that Asheboro is best, because it's approximately the same distance for everyone; and I know of a good place there. You can sit up to ten at a table, and there's a park behind where people can hang out. However, the date is open, and we'll need more input before making it a thing (as some people will be driving 2-3 hours, like, most of us). So, let's make it good!! :) Some have said Sept or Oct is a better time, and I'm fine with that. Y'all need to throw out some dates that work best for you. My schedule is flexible.
If someone wants to setup more of a camping-type event, I'm down for that as well. In that case, the location could be anywhere, since we won't have to worry about making the trip back same day.
What are your thoughts?
p.s. If I missed tagging someone it was not intentional. Some people are not on this platform, but they still kick-ass and are coming! :) If you are trying to get ahold of someone for the event, best to try multiple people. (I have an attention deficit w/ email.)
Love everybody!! Looking forward to meeting more of you.
I will make the next one.
Enjoy the meetup and great work getting it together, queenofeagles!
@morningbear Yes, the meetup was kid-friendly. Didn't get your message. Send direct next time, or tag someone.
@abrownbear Thank you! It was great! Looking forward to the next. :)
I'm going to camp on my friends' property this coming weekend. They are building a farm. If anybody wants to come this Sunday or Monday, let me know. Kids welcome. They have kids; I don't have kids. I don't have a tent, so you need to have your own stuff. They have a structure there, but I don't plan to impose on their space with people i don't know. (Just get there and see how it goes.)
It would be cool to help out with one of their projects, or just chill and get to know people. They have a coulpe of unplugged sites, and a stream or pond on the property.
It's in Salisbury. If you're interested, send me an email/message. Those coming from Raleigh area will meet and carpool, if schedule permits.
